After Hours & Access All Areas Tours at Loftus Hall
Since it reopened it’s gates to the public on Friday 13th July 2012, Loftus Hall has welcomed a lot of visitors but only a small number of people have gained access to all three floors of this Legend of the Paranormal World.
Only the most trusted and tested Investigators are given the honour of hosting these special nights, as these are not entertainment nights with special effects or trickery but given the time and right conditions, the Hall will not disappoint.
Gallivanting Tours offer bespoke experiences focusing on authenticity and so they are the only people with After Hours access to Loftus Hall and they have been picked to cater for your needs as we have every confidence in their abilities to deliver a very personalised experience with top class professionalism….
Only small groups are permitted to retain an intimate atmosphere with 2 guides escorting you.
As the crowds of the day leave, we arrive. Sit and enjoy a glass of wine or two in the gardens as the sun sets. As the last of the staff leave for the day, your tour begins.
You are escorted through the house by your guides at first, and room by room, the legend unfolds.
Later in the evening, you’ll break into smaller groups and with the aid of temperature sensors and infrared cameras you can wander the corridors by torchlight, even explore the 2nd floors rooms The Lodgers (2017) were filmed in.
Linger a little while in room 13 perhaps, or sit for a time in the chapel.
It’s traditional to break bread on a night like this, so we will enjoy some late night refreshments with a Taste of Wexford Hamper courtesy of Gallivanting Gastro Tours, deliciously decadent of course.
By candle and torchlight, you can tuck into local smoked salmon, cold meats, cheese and fruit with homemade soda bread, farmhouse butter and a little Bean & Goose chocolate to keep the spirits up!
As you begin to relax, that’s when things may begin to happen….
You can go for another wander, or perhaps you might like to sit and hear some of the local stories from the area, the murderous Pirates of Dollar Bay, James Freney the Highway Man, or Alice of Abergavenny the female Knight who beheaded 70 Celtic Warriors, only a mile or so from the house
The house is haunted and will drain your energy, you will find the night comes to a natural conclusion in the early hours, as dawn approaches. When that time comes, you will be chilled to the bone and full of stories to bring home!
